Simple, strong, durable, and reusable, our ERS Emergency Restoration System towers are as fundamental as a medicine cabinet in emergency situations and work planning situations.

SBB’s ERS towers are modular guy-wired aluminium structures with a quick and simple assembly, similar to a logical construction game exercise. These towers are installed directly at the location of damaged pylons and/or undergoing maintenance.

By establishing a temporary bypass, they can quickly restore power to an electrical transmission line ranging from 69kV to 1200kV. Once the repair is complete and power is restored to the primary circuit, the Emergency Restoration System towers are dismantled and stored away for future use.

Modularity is at the heart of the concept of our SBB towers. Our goal is to allow a minimum of components to cover a maximum of needs.

From base plates to insulators, our team has developed all the components our clients might need in real situations. We strive for perfection without leaving the user experience aside. All the components have been carefully selected, designed and manufactured to ensure quick and easy installation.

These components are regularly tested according to the IEEE 1070-2006 guide and the IEC 61284 standard. All the test results meet the IEEE 1070 criteria and, in most cases, surpass them.
